stoik killed my codec??????

hey guys,,i would use vdub to rencode xvids with gmc or qpel to reg ol xvid,,always workd great as good as original,,for my eyes anyway,,,ok,,i had a hq wmv so i got stoik for it,,worked fine,,but now my recodes are all crappy,,blocks very very noticable,,i reinstalled koepis xvid and still in the same boat,,i use vdub,fast recompress,,everything set on good quality settings,,,i'm gettin nerve racked at this pooint with it,,,thanks for any help??has stoik done this to anyone else,,if thats what it is,,but everything was fine till foolin with it,,which sucks cause i kinda liked it,,,anyway thanks and please help me out
