I'm finally getting around to attempts at fixing the audio from my wedding video. We'd used my brother's camera to film from the balcony, and used a master-out from the church's soundboard to capture the audio. However, my brother, being my best man, was not running the camera, and neglected to properly set the gain during setup, clipping most all music. Audio from the pastor's mic was ok, but everything else suffered extreme clipping.
I've used suggestions from digitalfaq.com and from a previous post with moderate success:

We did setup one other video source from the choir loft, behind the stage area. Unfortunately, the video camera at this location failed about half way thru the ceremony. Audio here was captured via the on-camera microphone. I've extracted the audio that we did get from that source, but since it was located behind the speakers, there is a fairly significant echo effect. What would be the best method to reduce an echo?
If I can get good enough results, I'd like to splice together to two audio sources to get a result that is at least better than what I started with.
I can post examples if that helps.

From my experience if audio clips during the entire recording, you're screwed. Splicing the two audio sources might help. Would you post some examples? Maybe I can make some suggestions.
