I have some footage with video noise b/c of low light. In TMPGEnC, there is a nice filter, but I would rather have a internal filter to avoid extra turns. Are there any?

  2. Do a search for Mike Crash. He ported over some filters from Vdub. One of them is noise removal. He has also done s smoothing filter as well as a real nice auto levels filter. Try them all!

At the risk of sounding patronising , have you ever heard of a search engine like say Google ? entering the search terms -
    "mike crash" vegas filter download
er ... gave the result in ooo.... 0.49 seconds and right at the top as well . Along with all the other Vegas goodies at this portal page .

And some of us are willing to be helpful without running the risk of sounding patronizing:

and, yes, a Google search will yield more results, but this should get you started.

  7. guys - thanks - good stuff...will take some time to sort through..

I've seen the vasst stuff before ... and if I were going to NAB, I'd love to see their stuff there along w/ everything else - are you guys going? (maybe a separate thread)

edit: mods - how about a poll on whether anyone is planning to go to NAB and in the thread, why, and are they looking for anything new in particular? looks like only mods can post polls...anyway, just a thought..

The use of VirtualDub filters in Vegas can be eased by using PluginPac ( http://www.debugmode.com/pluginpac/ )by DebugMode , a small tutorial I wrote is available from the address

    www.zzx2.com/vegas/

The guide is a basic one , it presumes a certain amount of familiarity with Vegas and of course VirtualDubs filters , please dont download it if you have no knowledge of these please .
I can`t be arsed to write the guide to fit with forum rules but if someone wants to then I`ll send them the Word file it came from (send message).

The site also includes a frameserver for Vegas (to send stuff to TMPGenc) which might be what the original topic writer needs , so he can use TMPGencs filter if he so wishes , I would advise leafing through the forum about these tools on DebugModes site before anything though .

Hadnt really looked at Wax , I gladly stand corrected , most of my capturing is done via DVD recorder nowadays and I clean up the video with an image enhancer via scart so I no longer delve into the clean up filters in VDub .
I glimpsed over the posting of Guides and didnt see an option to send a guide in unless using my website , I use my website for other topics and didnt want my bandwidth used up hosting it , although if someone wishes to put it up then I see no problem with that , I also have a limited PC time in order to sort out stuff like that .
