  1. Hi to all the good people!

I hope I am posting this in the right place.
My system is driving me NUTS!
I have installed DIVX 5.2.1 and XVID (I think it is 1.0.3 or whatever...)
so I can encode files to DVIX (.avi), play them and then convert them to DVD.

After my authoring programs will not load my .avi files, I decided to check them with GSpot. When I loaded an .avi file into GSpot it showed the needed codec as DX50 (DVIX) and indicated that the codecs were not installed! What is that all about?

I tried to uninstall and install but to no avail..... I am abit miffed

    Can anyone help?

  2. Update -

Everything sorted now. got rid of DIVX and XVID and installed the K-Lite full Mega Codec Pack.
I hope this forum is OK with this as it is freely available over the net....
Anyway, here is the link if you wish - Might find it handy. It solved my problems... :P
