    Hi,
    I have an AVI DivX5 file that I want t convet to MPG to make a DVD... but... the AVI file is a download and is not complete.

    I have tried running it but because it is not a complete download it will not play and so will not convert either.

    Does anyone know how I can do this?

    I would very much appreciate any help.

    Thanks canada.
    But nope, that didn;t work.
    I have run the file through VirtualDub to try and re-save it, but it keeps crashing at a certain point... obviously because the AVI is not complete.

    But surely there must be a way to fudge past this?

    Try full stream processing of video and audio in virtualdub, then save.
