Liteon 5005- Strobes during recordings

I've noticed the unit seems to strobe sometimes while recording. I can notice it while I'm recording the broadcast, this is also there during playback.

I have upgraded the firmware.

Anyone else have this problem ?

I have a 5005 but I'm not sure what you mean. What is strobing?

Movement is robotic, like frames are missing.
I believe its the tuner, because I getting the same effect when just watching TV thru unit.

yes my 5005 does that. So does my ilo, and those two both have liteon drives in them I believe, so I dont think its your particular unit that does it, I'm sure alot of ppl experience this with liteon/ilo or recorders with the same guts

How do you record with your units ?

well I notice it happens more often during SLP recordings, from the s-video input. It seems to never happen during SP, as for EP and LP I can't really remember. I updated all the firmware for both units, didnt really help much.

^This is on the same boards, I believe the same thing is happening to this person, as I think the Ilo and Liteon are similar. I know this, b/c they both use the easy guider, and you can record a dvd from the liteon, not finalize it, put it in the ilo, and start recording again b/c they use the same exact program and menus, and finalize it on either unit. Both companies probably share the same problems as well.
