  1. Everytime I try to record from my video suite editing card into the E50 it says"Copying of this material is not allowed". It almost acts like my video card is a copyrighted DVD......this never happened until now and I've had the same video setup for 2 years!!!! I've burned alot of DVD's on it until now......Is there a way to disable the macrovision? Is there a hidden menu? Why should I have to buy a device to kill the macrovision at Radio Shack or whatever when it worked before for 2 years straight! What a bunch of bullshit!!!! AAARRRGGHHH!!!

  2. Just found the solution to the problem. Orginally I was taking my E50 to meetings and videotaping those meeting from my camera into the E50 on 2X media. I then redigitize the footage into my Video suite and edit then play from my video suite into the E50. No Macrovision problems whatsoever.....Now I'm using the newer printable 8X media and I do the same thing but when I try to transfer the footage into the E50 it won't record because it thinks I am trying to input a Macrovision DVD into it. So I went inside my edit suite and shrunk the video and sure enough on the top of the video was the Macrovision information....now when I hit record on the E50 it records fine but as soon as I hit undo the video will resize to full screen the E50 stops recording. So I went into Fireworks and made a black 5 pixel top frame PNG to cover the Macrovision info. Thru it on the timeline as an overlay and the E50 now records fine!!! Does someone know if the older 2X non printable media didn't encode the Macrovision but now the newer 8X media does? This is the first time this has happened after using the E50 for two years......
