  1. I have a PIII 600 384 Mb Ram 120 Gb HD
    I am getting a LiteOn DVD+/-RW LITEON SOHW-1673S 16x+/-, 4x DL
    for $65 delivered.
The requirement for this hardware is a P 450 or higher.
Nero 6 requires P 1.2G or higher for DVD Burning.
Is there other software that I can use that will allow me to burn DVD's with my PIII 600
That is all the money I have right now.

    Thanks,

    Joe

A PIII 600 should be quite adequate for burning DVD. DVDDecrypter comes to mind for a low end system.

I've been transferring, encoding, authoring, and burning DVDs (with Nero 6) with a Pentium III 550. It could go a little faster, but you'll have no problem.

I might advise a drive a bit larger than 120mb.

  5. I'm guessing it's 120GB not 120mb

  7. Yes 120GB Thanks and I corrected it

I will have to see if Nero will work
    from their website
nero 6.0 update mentions the following
    Processor and installed memory

For writing audio and data discs:
    - 500Mhz Intel® Pentium III processor or equivalent
    - 64MB RAM
    For DVD and video authoring:
    - 1.2Ghz Intel® Pentium III process or equivalent
    - 128MB RAM
    For real−time capturing and burning:
    - 1.6Ghz Intel® Pentium IV processor or equivalent
    - 128MB RAM

This is what you should be concerned about - And you're fine at this point.

Nero shouldn't be used for these purposes anyway, so it should be of no concern.
