  1. Hi,

I'm new in DVD burning. I hope that I'm placing this question in the right forum.

I plan to use Nero 6 to burn a DVD to play a set of MPG2 and avi files of different subjects totaling 4 GB. I'd like to know if I can use Nero to burn a DVD such that I can create a title page as if those Movie DVD that will allow me to have the following options for users to select:

    1 - Play all clips
When user select this option, it will continously play all individual clips one after the other without user interaction)

2 - Play selected clips as listed

If yes, where can I find instructions to do it ?

If not, what is the lowest cost of software tool do I need to achieve it ?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You can use NERO to burn a DVD

but in order to do what you want to do you need to learn how to AUTHOR a DVD. Nero the burning program doesn't do this (except for VCD authoring)

Click on one of the guides to learn how to AUTHOR..
    We all have our preferences
My favorite is DVD ARCHITECT 2.0 by Sonic Foundry

The Ulead procduct mentionioned will not provide the features you outlined.
    Neither will my fave program.
    For thse feaures you need
Adobe Encore, Sonic Scenerist or DVD lab Pro (or Maestro -no longer made)

you can do all you asked for using DVdauthorGUi, which is FREE.

you will have to create asset files to work with (M2v and AC3 files) from your AVI's and Mpg's. you can use these FREE tools to do that.

    VirtualdubMod
    FFmpegGIU
    Vobedit
    Tmpgenc (free 30 day trial)

you can crate a picture menu in a simple drawing package, such as the one that comes with Windows.

you can use Nero to burn the resulting authored DVD files.

check the guides for more info.

Actually I think TMPGENC DVD Author is the cheapest that will do play each and play all without duplication --that is by re-using assets
