I'm using a Canon zr60 dv camera and I've got 2 tapes full of mixed video clips. (Interlaced)
I used win dv to transfer them to my comp as type 2 .avi. Each scene was automatically detected. (approx clip lengths of 30secs-1:30mins) So I'm left with 555 clips in total.
The problem I'm having is to batch convert them into a compatible format for multiple dvds without sacrificing much quality. And joining a couple of them together for easier organization to author the dvd.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you,
BoXstA.

TMPGEnc at the highest settings will convert them to MPEG-2 fitting about 1 hour on a disc and the quality is extremely good. Make sure you read up on it and use the proper settings though. You can also use it to merge MPEG files together. Under File > MPEG Tools > Merge & Cut.
