    Is there any way to get the subtitles to appear below the video (ie: in the black bars) when converting from an AVI with a .sub to VCD?

    I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere, I just can't seem to find a solution.

    Currently the only way is to encode the movie twice, first to AVI at high bitrate but VCD screen size and no subtitles, second time to add subtitles. I will add more options in the future to avoid such awkward process.
