I was wondering if it was possible to make it so when you put a movie into a DVD Player, it will show a picture for like 10 sec or so before it starts the movie. It is for a movie back up that I ripped with DVD Decryptor and then shrink with DVD2One, so the files are already in .vob format. I dont have any menus or anything, but I did want to add just a still picture with some text saying what movie it is or something that would show for a bit as soon as you put the movie in the DVD player, then the movie will start. Not a menu or anything, and I dont think this is truely authoring the DVD, so I was just wondering if this was possible and if so, what programs would I use, preferably freeware. Or can I even just add the jpeg or bmp file to beginning of the list of vob files when i burn with Nero? Is that a possible solution?

  2. your authoring program likely allows this as a "First Play" option. You could also make an avi file of the still and add it in as a first play track...

You can't just add it into the VOB files as you suggest

Thats the thing, I didnt author this DVD...since it is a back up, all I did was rip it and shrink it. The next step is to burn it, except i want to do this...is there a way to author those files to include this picture?
