Hi, I just got an RJ-1500DVXII player and it is great, however, I can't seem to figure out how to get 16x9 to work on it. I've tried contacting RJ Tech and haven't heard back yet.
In the Setup list there is a Pic Mode which has settings like Smart, Film, TV, etc. and from the manual it looks like one of those is supposed to play 16x9. But it really just looks the same as letterbox. Where's the streteched image? I have a good projection TV that squishes down the elongated 16x9 screen for increased resolution and my old DVD player does this properly but not the RJ-1500DVXII.
Anyone got a suggestion of what I'm doing wrong?
Using just regular composite cable into the player. Is it possible 16x9 is only available with Component or S-Vid cables?
