Where can I find DivX 6?

It isn't out yet, but you can find pre release codecs and tools at http://labs.divx.com/ plus I think there were already some posts here on DivX releases.
But basically it is just another hack/extension to the avi container. -
looks like they're trying to make divx have a more dvd feel to it (menu's, subs, multiple sound tracks).. which actually isnt a bad idea.. high definition divx that fills up a dvdr (or dvdr DL) would be kind of nice.

The official MPEG-4 container mp4 supports all of that and more though.

Unfortunately, most standalones don't support the .mp4 container, while all DiVX certified players are supposed to support .divx (at least with a firmware update).
P.S. I really mean it when I say it's unfortunate... I'd personally much prefer a free/open standard than paying for "DivX 6 Pro" for encoding my vids. Watch them re-charge current customers for the upgrade, too... -
Really wonder if existing divx players will be capable of playing all that even with a firmware upgrade. Hope so...

Well that was the point of hacking avi rather than creating something new or using mp4, etc. As it is basically just an avi it still plays back fine, just minus the newer features. All current DivX certified players are supposed to already support the subtitles and I think multiple audio streams.
This year should also see a Matroska menu enabled VLC.
