OK, I am using TMPGEnc and I have downloaded the KDVD Template which will convert to mpg2 at 352 x 480 resolution. Well, I wanted to take this lower, so I try to change the resolution to 352 x 240, but the mpg2 it kicks out has no video...it's just black, but the audio is there. What am I missing?
Thanks!

you are missing the fact that you should not change the resolution, as the EXTREME GOP structure used by these templates were optimized for use in the said resolution. Change at your own peril.
That said you should at least get some video. Weird looking, but video nonetheless. Check their forum for a better answer. -
Why use the half D1 template? The full D1 template will produce a better video, and only about 10% larger than the half D1.
