  1. My Sony VAIO died recently. I spite of what folks may say about "Click to DVD". I liked it. totally idiot proof. I would have replaced my VAIO with a Mac, but there's loads of shareware I like that just won't run on that platform.

I need a good 1-click DV to DVD package that runs on Windows. I liked the fact that Click to DVD was able to make chapters ever X minutes and scanned the entire tape to see where the new content began and ended.

Is there anything out there that does this? I could care less about editing etc.

    Thanks in advance.

I use TheFilmMachine for quick DV to DVD. If you use a decent encoder like CCE the results are pretty good. It's freeware and comes with an encoder (Quenc), but can use other encoders.

Intervideo's Instant Movie Maker has to be the easiest, just connect DV cam, slip in a blank DVD and hit go. But, because it is so simple, it is limited in features.

DivXtoDVD is supposed to be easy and it should work as libavcodec supports DV.
