Wanted to know best format for conversion of wmv to DVD. wmv is 512x384, DVD (mpeg) is 720x480. Some kind of factor you have to take into account when you're changing resolutions? I don't want to go to VCD which is lower quality.

You can go to half-D1 at 384 x 480, or full-D1. Personally, I'd go up to full-D1. VSO DivxtoDVD can do this for you so you don't have to worry about resizing or bitrates etc. It can be picky if there are errors in the stream though. Resizing can often soften an image, especially when enlarging.

How do you intend to do this, so we can give you more specific advice.
