  1. Hi.

I'm trying to convert Windows Media Video files To DVD format

I tried using the following software, but it does not work.

    ConvertXtoDvd - Picture looks scrambled

Xilisoft Video Converter - Will not load the file

ImTOO DVD Creator v3.0 - Will not load the file

WinAVI Video Converter - Can't decode this file! maybe broken or the relative decoder is not installed

The file is not broken as it plays on the media player!

I do not have a clue in regards to a decoder.

I would try use windows movie maker and then export to avi file that you might have better luck to convert to dvd.

Or else try also favc, dvd flick.

Definitely sounds like a DRM issue as I use ConvertXDVD all the time for WMV files without problems, but only on unprotected files. Usually you can mouse-hover over the WMV in Explorer and it will tell you if its protected or not.
