  1. As above the error message is:
File <filename> can not open or unsupported

I'm a newbie at this. I've gotten this .avi from someone, I wish to convert it to a vcd. How can I solve this problem?

    Pardon my ignorance

  2. Hi, I am very new at this too and still am trying to get
a high quality vcd burned. Maybe I can help you a little bit. Do you have a software program like Easy CD Creator
or Nero? Do you have an encoder software like TMPGEnc?
You will need these 2 things to get started(besides having
    a decent computer).

Open up in TMPGEnc and convert...
