Is there a way to capture Dolby Digital 5.1 if i have a sound card with SPDIF IN? In Virtual Dub when previewing a movie with DD 5.1 it is just real loud static or some kind of distortion.
3.0GHz Pentium 4
512 MB Ram
Turlebeach 7.1 w/ spdif IN
Nvidia Personal Cinema

You need an AC3 decoder to decode the digital signals. Try AC3 Decompressor or similar, or install a software DVD player.

I have 3 DVD programs on my computer, i figured it might have something to do with that though. I will try AC3 decompressor. Is there an option in virtualdub that will let me capture the separate channels? instead of just 2 channels.
