Made MPEG from StudioDV, created videoCD with ECDC 5.0 platinum. Trying to play back on my Gateway-included DVD player software, and all I get is audio with a black screen. On the disk, there is a decent-sized file in the mpegav folder which I assume contains the music. The vcd folder however has a fairly small file, which I am pretty sure is too small to hold my video component. What gives?

The file in the mpegav folder contains both the video and the audio...try with another vcd player like windvd, powerdvd or windows media player.

Similiar problem. VCD will play in Media Player 7 but quality is poor. WinDVD 3.0 will only play audio, no video.
The discs are good, play great on other systems. Have read the forums, have updated all windows essentials, have updated all codecs, no files missing that I'm aware of, adequate resources: 650Mhz, 96mb ram, 8mb video, 48x read cd-rom.
At a loss here. Any suggestions?
Thanks
