I just bought Ulead VideoStudio 8.
I have mpg's that play fine in my Windows Media Player (with both audio and video) but when it comes to playing the audio in Ulead, there's nothing.
I've tried playing with the mute button, I've used the Split Audio function, I've tried changing the extension, nothing.
I'm fairly (read: incredibly) inept when it comes to computers and this is the first time I've played with technology like this. I don't even know where to begin to correct this problem. Do I need to convert the mpg's? Is there a special program for that? What's the step-by-step process?

Just a guess, but I bet you need the Ulead AC3 audio plugin for VideoStudio ($30 US). If you don't know your audio format, download Gspot, check the file(s) and it will tell you the format(s).
Good Luck!
