  1. i was looking and see many dvd recorders for cheap money. walmart has one for $140-150 range. i was wondering if any one has these units and how well do they work? i want to record tv and convert my hi-8 tapes to dvd, as well as other vhs tapes, thanks

    most bang for the buck, and the less buck the better!

    Go for the panasonic es-10 or lite on 5005 which go for around $179.00,those other dvd recorders are not very reliable . Remember good things are not cheap and cheap things are not good.

  4. i did look at the reports on this site but you get 10 reviews and 6 are great, 2 are mixed and one is slamming the product.
    i know that the more you pay the better, but if you bought a sony dvd player the quality of the playing is good but it hardly plays anything but dvd_ROM's ..no vcd, dvd+r's etc. then then you buy a $30 apex and it all good. so price don't always indicate most useful.

  6. I have the dvdr04 sold at walmart and I am very happy with it. It hasnt given me any problems. And I did keep the receipt
