Try deleting the Premiere INI file

Its called Prem60.ini and it lives in the ROOT of the Adobe 6.0 folder within PROGRAM FILES.
    Reboot and re open

oops i dunno if they call it 6.5, but i'll bet its still 60 in the ini version

    Did you have any PLUG-INS?
sometimes, these get messed up so even if you "un-install" you need to dig them out of the plug-in directory manually

Try to set the date of your computer back to some early month in 2002 and see if this helps.
