  1. I got a "Movie CD" that plays fine on my PC. I looked at the properties of the video file and it is avi. I checked around this site, downloaded TMPGEnc and followed the instructions as best I could. It made the file into a MPEG, I then burned the file to a CD using HP cd-writer 8200. My dvd player is supposed to play vcd and most anything, but it is not playing. Is my burner not capable of burning these or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your help.

  2. todd24089,

click here: http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php to see about you player's compatibility and see whether it supports CD-R/CD-RW. Your player might support VCD but what we are making is only VCD format on CD-R/CD-RW. So, make sure it supports CD-R/CD-RW playback. Jordan
