  1. I have just purchased a TC tuner card which works great and I want to copy the TV programme I have captured and put it on to a DVD to watch it through a DVD player

I have several options to capture the file
    AVI
    VCD(NTSC)
    VCD(PAL)
    DVD(NTSC)
    DVD(PAL)
    SVCD(NTSC)
    SVCD(PAL)

Which of these types would be best to use and can anyone suggest a good software to convert the file to a suitable format to be able to watch the file on a DVD player
    Many thanks

  2. Well, if you want a DVD, I would think you'd choose DVD.
NTSC for North America, PAL for most everywhere else.

Depends, are you just going to watch it no edits, not concerned about great quality..... What reboot said then. If you captur to that you only need a basic authoring app, drop it into the first play spot, make sure th output settings match your capture settings and burn away.

Besides that it really depends on what your going to do with it.

  6. For what you want capture as DVD and use the basic autyhoring app that probably came with your DVD Burner.

You need to know what standard your TV is. Choose NTSC if you live in North America or PAL if in Europe or England for example.

    Good Luck

All though I love DVD Workshop that's overkill by a longshot for just burning a single play disc. As one of the posters suggested above you DVD burner probably came with a athoring program for creating something like that.
