Andrew Boss DVIX,XVID PLAYER

Just got one this week and it plays xvid + gmc, and xvid + qpel.
it has the MTK chip. Was using the Philips DVP642 which will not play xvid!

Huh? You are sadly mistaken. The Philips DVP642 DOES play XviD. Mine does quite well actually.

In fact, my 642 has recognized and played flawlessly 54 of my 55 DivX/XviD CD-Rs. The only one it couldn't play was one encoded with GMC/QPel.

It is my main player, I use it every day and I have owned it for 6 months.

It not playing gpel or Gmc are no Secret!

By The way its not a Divx Player.. It's a DVD Player, that Plays Xvid,Divx, Vcd ,Svcd.
