    Guys,
I need your help and guidance to check the firmware version on my Pioneer DV-575A DVD Player. Is there any way?

    Thanks in advance

To check which firmware version you currently have...

    - Power on the player
    - Go to Home Menu
    - Choose "Initial Settings"
    - Go down to Options (do not enter sub menu)
    - Press Display on Remote

    Hey Presto!

  5. Hi, MICOL. I own a Pioneer XV-HTD540 (the DVD player included with the HTD-540DV home theatre system). Being that the menu configuration matches that of the 575A, I decided to try the instructions you posted and it worked. I would like to either change regions or unlock it completely. However, I understand you need a Palm Pilot and some advanced files. Can anyone tell me if there is anything whatsoever I can do with the supplied remote even just to change the region every time I load DVDs from different countries? Thank you.
