In other words you gotta pray that your souncard keeps up with your video capture or things come in out of synch? I guess that's not worth a $50 savings.

I'm not seeing this. Maybe I missed it. Can you explain?

It looks like a self-contained unit.

The PCI card has L/R audio out and mic out jacks but no audio in jacks, indicating they expect you to plug into the face of your soundcard to capture audio.

It's off to the left side of the screen under "In Detail - Hardware"
