  2. No, I don't think so! - the analogue capture schematic shows the 'audio in' connected through the sound card -- the audio goes straight into my ADVC50 card along with the video-

    - looks like this one doesn't have locked audio

    In other words you gotta pray that your souncard keeps up with your video capture or things come in out of synch? I guess that's not worth a $50 savings.

    I'm not seeing this. Maybe I missed it. Can you explain?

    It looks like a self-contained unit.
    The PCI card has L/R audio out and mic out jacks but no audio in jacks, indicating they expect you to plug into the face of your soundcard to capture audio.

    It's off to the left side of the screen under "In Detail - Hardware"
