I have burnt about 50 dvdr using Nero. Now I get a message Burning Process Failed every time I try to burn. They are dvds I recorded off of camcorder tapes using a dvd recorder, they are not copyright protected and like I said, I have already done a bunch with no problem until now . Any suggestions. Thanks

  2. I think we will need more information to help you. Nero will give you a log as to why the burn failed. Can you include that as well?

After about 17 mins it says Error reading data on the report. I just noticed on one of the dvds a finger print burned on the dvd at the edge of it Could that be the problem ? I just burned a small file and it worked. Does it burn from the inside to the outside ? because it failed towards the end on a couple of them

Failing towards the end is a prime sign of bad media.

Contrary to popular opinion, more than 50% of the media at any given retail outlet is worthless crap. Maybe as much as 75%. It's horrible, really.

So far Memorex failed the most for me.I have had good luck with Legacy,Maxell. I buy whats on sale. I am trying Teon. The first one was bad, but the next ten were ok. Circuitcity has TDK 25 for $7.95 I am going to try next.
Do you know if marking a dvd with a sharpie will ruin it ? Thanks
