is there a simple prgram out there that will enable me to mix songs? Basically what I am trying to do is have one song run into the other at the end instead of the song ending and waiting for the other to begin. I would like one song when it gets to ten seconds left, to have the next one begin playing and then be able to burn this onto cd. Is this possible?

I assume that your songs are in mp3 format. If it is, then you can try mp3 cutter joiner. It allows you to split or put together several mp3 files.
Can get a trial version from here : http://www.mp3towav.org/MP3-Cutter-Joiner/ -
Acoustica MP3 CD Burner has a great feature that allows you to do exactly what you mentioned. It's a nice app.
