ATI All-In-Wonder 128 Pro

I have an ATI All-In-Wonder 128 Pro. I am trying to capture video from my video camcorder Hi8. I have video and sound using ATI MMC 7.2 during capturing the video, after I capture the video and playback on MS window media player. I do not have audio. That is strange. What to you folks think?

I then try using Ulead current software to capture. While playing my camcorder, I have video but no audio.

Summary:
MMC7.2 – while capturing, have video and audio. Playback on computer has video and NO audio.

Ulead – while playing camcorder and have not capture yet. I have video but NO audio.

There are ways to get 128 PRO to use ATI MMC 8.7, which is better. Because of all that is involved, I don't discuss it on this site. On your own, you may also be able to use ATI MMC 7.7, which is still better than 7.2. Some of the muxing of ATI MMC 7.x early editions left much to be desired.

The audio issue here may merely be the system's MP2 audio decoder does not work.

How does it play back in ATI MMC PLAYER software?

i have uninstalled MMC7.2 and installed MMC7.7. i inititally had video and no audio using MMC7.7. i then selected auxiliary for audio instead of preselected in-line and it appears to be fine. after capturing the video and when i play back the file i get only audio and no video. strange?

is MMC7.7 the latest option for ATI AIW 128? Do you have the latest video drivers from ATI's site as well?
