My questions is, is it possible? Not moving something we saved from camcoder to hd, then converting it etc, but a direct capture. I want it to record directly onto hard disk. I don't need video conversion, although it would be fine if it could somehow reduce the size of the video (read somewhere, some 500 megs for a minute)
I have read this found from your search
http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/33/59/
but im not sure does it do what i want? I would have to have computer at the place and it would record there? But does it go "directly" as in, records as long as there is hard drive.
Also, what is the maximum "tape lenght" i could find for a camera to record onto? What i need is a camera to monitor one place for me, preferably that i don't have to have comp near it, for some 5 hour period of time?
