Hi all... Well, I picked up a cheap LG GSA-4120B super-multi drive and slapped it into an external firewire enclosure. It seems to work all right during limited testing (I'll be upgrading the firmware on a PC later), but I have one question:
I picked up this drive because of its DVD-RAM compatibilities... I have two years of archives for my magazine on DVD-RAM discs and my only DVD-RAM drive is SCSI, which no modern Macs seem to have. Once I crack the DVD-RAM discs out of their cartridges, the drive seems to read them okay, but does anyone who has this drive know how to make OS X see this drive as DVD-RAM writeable? I've tried PatchBurn already, but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?
Thanks a million!
