    Does it make any differnce if I use other applications while compressing with DTOX or Popcorn in terms of movie quality?
    Am I more likely to have gliches in the movie?

    agreed.
    I regularly surf this site and answer posts,
    as well as have also been using ffmpegx to
    transcode avis while running dtox.
    It does slow down DTOX's performance, but
    not drastically.
