Your sharpness problem is probably due to using MPEG2 for capturing. Try using AVI for capturing. But beware that the captured file size will be many times the size of the MPEG2 file. Also, from my experience, ulead's MPEG2 conversion quality is marginal, even when starting with AVI files. You may want to try a different conversion program, such as TMPGEnc. Also, your 1 mb (mb = megabits) per minute doesn't make sence (way too small). If that were true, you would be able to put 400 to 500 minutes on a DVD, which is unheard of. Good Luck!

  3. hi again...sorry for my mistake...i ment..1MB=1 sec...the problem with avi compresion is that blur/ghost lines appear(like when you put bob interlacing watching sat tv)...i tried various combination...but really mpeg conversion does not look so bad....except for sharpness...which would make it perfect....any other advice is welcome....thanks for answering
