I guess, the subject heading says it all: I was wondering if there is an info, or some sort of a list, on DVD players that have x/y scaling zoom feature. I would like to get one but my understanding is that not many players support this feature, so any help would be appreciated. I did search the forum here but was not able to find any really useful information. And user DVD player reviews do not give much (if any) info about this particular feature.
Recently, I got myself a DLP video projector and, to my surprise, realised that it 'suffers' from overscan problem (not as much as my TV, but still - it is there). Since I'm not sure if video projectors have service menu (I assume they do but I'd perhaps be a bit reluctant to tinker with it) I think getting a good quality, progressive-scan, DVD player with x/y scaling is the easiest way to remedy this. It would be nice to be able to see an entire image rather than have it 'chopped off' on the sides.
Any info is very much appreciated.
