  1. my grandmother needs a dvd player, she watches alot of dvds and vcds from china, i was wondering what dvd player plays both dvds and vcds from china, She doesnt really speak english or anything so i cant really teach her to do any region hacks or anything, any help would be appreciated thans!

  2. I'd highly recommand either a Pioneer or an Apex DVD Player, they are the most compatible ones you can find, and it is very rare that they won't play something.

  3. Well the chances of finding a DVD player that is multi-region right out of the box are very slim, here in the USA. You will need to change SOMETHING in order to make the player region-free.

    Two players which are among the easiest to make region-free are the Daewoo DVG-3000N and DVG-5000N. It's just a matter of pushing a few buttons on the remote to do it.

    Both of those players handle VCD and SVCD very well.
