I have a Kworld V-Stream Xpert DVD Maker 883 and I am unable to increase the resolution. The default 320x240 works fine but if I increase I I get a "Error 418: Unsupported format" error in VirtualDub. It's weird considering it can handle up to 720x480. The software it comes with is total crap so I didn't even bother using it. VirtualDub is supposidly the best for captures so I'm wondering if anyone know what's wrong? This is my first capture card so I don't have much experience in these. Second it seems I get a blue screen of death in XP, yes in XP, if I try to increase the brightness, contrast or whatever. It says there was an error in a USB driver. It's a PCI capture card so I'm more then confused ^^.

Sounds like the first thing you should do is either find proper drivers for the card, or take it back and replace it with one that will work properly in XP. Drivers are your main problem at the moment, causing both your BSOD problems and your virtualdub problems.
