  1. I have movie (2500 kbps) and movie segment (8500 kbps) in my project. Can this difference in a bitrate be a problem and aborts compilition process?

  3. The program is dvdlab-pro. Movie and movie segment are NTSC 720x480, 29.97 fps, 4:3.

  4. Nope, that's not the problem.
Do you have any motion menus?
If so, redo them and save as avi, not mpg.
    Encode them separately, then import.
If not, something in your structure is not producing a compliant dvd. Empty VTS, menu links invalid, something...

  5. No, I don't have motion menus. I don't have empty vts, and broken links. I double checked them. Once I had such problem when I had 16:9 and 4:3 in one vhs, but now everything seems the same to me... Thank you for the ideas I will check menu structure again...

  6. I've heard somewhere that very high bitrate can cause the problems in dvd lab, but I don't know for sure.

  7. I guess that's possible. I never exceed 9000kbps including audio.
Save your project, and try with a re-encoded version of your mpeg, using a lower bitrate.
See if that makes a difference (it shouldn't).
The other option is to use AC3 audio (if you aren't already) as dvdlab has been known to crash on PCM.

  8. I'll try to reincode my mpeg, but I also don't believe in success. I use ac3 in every my project because it gives me resonable quality with reasonable project size. I don't like to shrink it after compilation.

  9. Yes, I reencoded my video with lower bitrate. The result is the same - nothing new. However, now I can see that process aborted when placing navigation parameters. Can it be the switched menu with links to another menu?

  10. Shouldn't be. I use switched motion menus, never had a problem. Can you post a screenshot of your connections tab, and assets tab?

  11. Thank you for reply. I found the problem. I don't know how, but ac3 files that I converted with tmpgenc plug-in corrupted the process. As soon as I replaced them with wav, everything is OK.

I don't know why, ac3 plug-in doesn't work well because in previous project I use it and everything was just fine. But I notice that plugin freezes trying to convert some files. Maybe the problem is in the headers of audio. I don't know.

  12. Try using ffmpeggui to transcode your audio to AC3. It's the only thing I use, and never had a problem.
I just got the tmpgenc AC3 plugin yesterday, and haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Be interesting to see if it has a "bug"
