I have 2 DVD drives on my Gateway 930 MHz Intell Pentium III computer.
Drive One is a Pionner DVD-ROM DVD-115
Drive Two is a HP Writer DVD 300i
I am using what are suppossedly "professional grade" DVD+Rs.
Memorex 4X DVD+R White InkJet Printable 4.7GB
Now all my purchased DVDs play just fine in either drive with NO ERRORS of any kind.
But my "home movies" or backups created with DVD-Shrink DO NOT play well in either drive, not even in the HP drive that created them. They play part way and begin to freeze up about half way through until they finally just stop.
Now I know NOTHING is wrong with the DVDs. They play just fine on any of my stand alone DVD players WITHOUT ERRORS.
But for whatever reason my 2 DVD drives will not play them all the way through.
So what is a good DVD player (doesn't even have to be a writer) that will play a DVD+R all the way through with no errors?

Almost all DVD-ROMs will play DVD+R. I have the Pioneer-116 DVD-ROM and HP DVD-Writer 200i. Both play DVD+R without any problems. Your problem might be with your DVD player software. It is hard to say.

I have the same problem on my second computer which also has the same HP DVD+R 300i Writer and uses Windows 2000 Professional Edition. -

Hello,
Tao Yuden discs - any that say "MADE IN JAPAN". At least that's the general consensus here on this forum
Kevin
(I know SOME Fuji blanks are that type but must say JAPAN on them- right next to the barcode is where the country of manufacture is listed)
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Taiyo Yuden from Rima.com - I've also had great luck with Ritek...the naked shiny top ones.
I bought naked Taiyo Yuden's as well...never had a failed burn with a naked DVDR.
