Not sure if this is the right folder for this but here goes.
I've captured a tv program using Sony's Giga Pocket that I would like to edit the commercials out of in Prem Pro and burn to DVD.
The file shows up as .MPG (mpeg2) and plays just fine when I open it with Windows Media Player or RealPlayer. When I import it into Pro it plays fine in the monitor window but when I put it in the timeline to edit it the sound just disapears. It looks like the audio and video tracks split out into their respective timelines but no wave form is indicated in the audio timeline.
I just want to know what happened to my sound so I can get to work editing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
