Hi
I am capturing the video from vhs and burning them to a dvd using ulead movie factory but for some reason. Those burned dics wont play in my dvd player. What format the discs have to be in to be played in the dvd player.
I am using a Winpvr 250 capture card . What I need to do make dvd-r play in my player, the player plays burned dvd also as I tested it.

BTW unless your DVD player supports directly playing mpeg files you need to author a DVD compliant disc. -
They must be in dvd-video format. If you author and burn with ulead dvd moviefactory should you get dvd-video discs. But your dvd player may have problem with the media, try diffffffffffferent media. If that doesn't help try another author and burn tool like tmpgenc dvd author.

I have Samsung DVD-M301 which plays dvd +r and -r. I made a vcd just to test it and it played but for some reason when I burn the video on a dvd-rw it doesn't work.
I know the dvd player doesn't support mpeg, also there is no option to change the format in ulead except dvd video(Which I think in mpeg). I used avicodec to see what format the video was captured it says V codec
mpeg2 and a1codec mpeg1.
Do I need a dvd player which plays mpeg2 also what can I do get a little bit better picture quality during the capture.
