  1. Tried searching but came up dry,

Have been trying to learn how to covert dvd's to divx and or xvid so I gave auto gordon knott a try. All seemed to work well converted to divx, video looks good however the sound is wrong. It's difficult to explain but the voice dialog is considerable lower volume than the background (sound effects, music, etc). I can turn up the volume loud enough to hear the voice in a scene then when the scene changes the music or background sounds are unbearabley loud.

This is using window media player to play back or in divx player 2.1. I have power dvd 6, xvid, ffdshow installed and am using just the line out on the pc into stereo speakers (2). I have tried to find settings to change but nothing seems to help so I am thinking there is an encoding step I am missing.

I read and followed the AGK tutorial, any suggestions?

    thx

What are you choosing for the audio setting in AutoGK ? AC3, MP3
    ?

If the audio is AC3, your Player software should have a setting for track volume and (hopefully) audio sound compression, which will make the loud and soft parts of the audio closer in volume to one another,

Good job figuring out AutoGK. It's easy, but pretty good !
