  1. Just purchased a new PC with an ATi Radeon AIW 9600 to be my Media Center. Have hooked it up to the TV in our Living Room, and run through all the suggested setup options, and am having some difficulties with the image.

Basically, the left side is almost straight, with a little bowing in near the top. On the right side, however, there's an almost continuous curve.

The general perception is that I need to do a DeGauss or mess with the Pincushioning, except that my TV doesn't seem to have those (where are those cheap 30 inch monitors when you need them).

I gather I could increase the horizontal size further, but then assume I'm going to lose picture on the left and/or right side.

Anything else I can look at doing (short of a new TV)?

    Thanks,
    Ewan

New TV. If this isn't an option, you could try enabling overscan in ATI MMC. At least then you won't be able to see the curved edges.

  3. That is why regular TV pictures overscan.
