    Hi,
    What's a wmv file? It behaves like asf in that you can't REW or FF without it losing sync.
    Can I convert it to avi or mpeg? using what?

    usually you can convert wmv in TMPGEnc

    it's the next version of asf from MS ... there is no VirtualDub support for wmv (asf with the old VirtualDub yes but not wmv)
