    I am moving old VHS movies to DVD. I just am currently using regular stereo output selection in DVD author. Is there any reason to buy their "sound plug in ac-3" to encode to Dolby Digital ?

    I don't see why this would make sense, since the source is stereo anyway from the VCR.

    So will having the plug in make the sound better somehow ?
