ok, i tried searching, but all i found were topics close to my problems
i have a 30 min-ish XviD AVI file i wanna convert to MPG. i'm using TMPGEnc Plus 2.5. when i encode, there's no audio at all. also, the output file ends up being like 2 hours long, the extra hour and a half is just whatever the last frame is, but the actual video part encoded fine =/
is there a way to fix this? other than ripping the audio with virtualdub and cutting the mpg so it's no so long?

tmpgenc can't handle mp3 vbr audio. converting the audio to wav often heelps, it includes the wrong playtime.
