i just installed version2 beta8 of svcd. all seems to work great. the one problem i am having is that i'm unable to view the "set the menu tv standard" at the bottom of the settings in menu. i want to change it to ntsc to make sure my menu plays it that way, but i'm not able to do that because the screen cuts off at the bottom. anybody else notice this oddity. it also cuts off at the process screen for the selection of "set pan scan info". any suggestions.

I shall try to make it more friendly to 800*600....

I have the same problem on RC1. I am using an XtasyEverything card directly to a TV. The maximum resolution I have available to use is 800x600. I changed the TV Standard in the registry, but its still very difficult to use when I cannot resize the main dialog so it fits in the 800x600. The dialog also overlaid the windows taskbar. I could not get to it until I moved the main dialog a little. The issue will be primarily for those of us using only a TV out, where even 800x600 is pushing the edge of discernable type. I have been able to use it by waiting until just before the dialog comes up, clicking on the explorer window so that SVCD2DVD comes up behind the explorer, so I can drag the files. If I do it too early I get an error (shown below) that is persistant until I reboot.
I also use it on a Haupagge PVR350 system without the 800x600 limitation, and it works very nicely (I mean I love it!). I do get the same startup error there occasionally without trying to bring it up in the background).

I have begun some work in making it more 800*600 friendly. The main problem is that the menu designer requires a certain size (without scaling) - but i will get there.
BTW you don't have to use Explorer to load up assets, you can use the "browse" button on the assets bar too...SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
